I’m seeking re-election because I remain committed to providing thoughtful leadership that improves outcomes for students, strengthens our district, and prepares our schools for the challenges ahead.

Our schools are more than buildings - they are places where students discover their strengths, families build connections, and educators and staff make a lasting difference every day. I care deeply about this community and the opportunities we provide for every learner.

When I first ran for the school board, I spoke about the importance of stability. Our district had experienced a significant period of transition, and I believed our students, families, and staff needed consistent leadership, thoughtful planning, and a clear focus on the future.

Stability does not mean standing still - it means creating the foundation needed to make thoughtful investments, implement meaningful improvements, and keep our attention on what matters most: student success. Over the past six years, I have worked to provide that stability while continuing to move our district forward.

School board leadership requires understanding how decisions connect. It requires balancing academic achievement, student well-being, and opportunities for learners with financial responsibility, operational realities, community expectations, and long-term sustainability. It also requires advocating for our district at the state level to ensure the issues affecting our schools receive the attention and resources they deserve.

Experience matters because effective governance requires understanding school finance, developing sound policy, evaluating the impact of decisions, considering multiple perspectives, and making choices that best serve the entire district.

I believe leadership also means helping people understand the decisions before us. Throughout my service, I have worked to provide accessible information, including board meeting summaries, listened to different perspectives, and created greater understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our schools. Even when people disagree with a decision, they deserve clear information about how it was made and the reasoning behind it.
